24 Hour Turn Around
If I hadn’t seen the x-ray myself, I wouldn’t believe that Bryson has pneumonia. He just looks too good. Don’t get me wrong, he isn’t quite 100%. But he is walking around and talking 90 miles a minute. The only way I know he doesn’t feel great is because it is noon, and 99% of his toys are still put away in his bedroom. That is opposed to the norm, where he takes deliberate care to strew his belongings all over the house. A baby’s work is never done.
SO anyway- we went back to his pediatrician and she was quite impressed by his improvement as well. We started him oral antibiotics and are switching to “PRN nebulizer treatments” (or as needed). If he starts having an increase in cough, we will resume the steroids. If he starts having high fevers again, we are to go back to the hospital. If everything goes smoothly, we are to follow up in the clinic in 2 weeks. I guess that is an action plan I can deal with.
I am just happy that we caught this early and Bryson is already recovering. Talk about a 24 hour turn around! Now if Dave and I could just quit hacking!!
